Facilities Maintenance Manager (full time)

Summary of position:
Responsible for the daily preventative maintenance and performing custodial duties of the CRC facilities including the Wellness Center, Events Center and Auditorium. Works closely with the cleaning assistant and volunteers as needed. Position requires lifting 50+ pounds and the use of some commercial equipment. Attends required meetings.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Monitor multiple facility systems daily to ensure systems are working properly and efficiently (most systems are monitored on computer)
- Reviews supplies used and researches economical alternatives
- Orders supplies
- Complies with standards regarding use, storage and recording of chemicals
- Assists with snow removal, grounds work (trimming, spraying weeds, rake etc.)
- Researches equipment repair needs and problem-solves solutions in a cost-effective, timely manner
- Performs or assists with repairs as needed
- Works closely with staff to set up and take down tables, chairs and other equipment for various events
- Schedules and monitors lighting and temperature of rental areas.
- Assists staff with various projects
- Communicates with staff, vendors and others through email and phone
- Vacuuming
- Empty trash and recyclables
- Cleans restrooms and locker rooms
- Ensure rental areas are clean before and after events.
- Sweep and mop floors
- Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary
 
Qualifications/Experience
- Customer service focused and excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate equipment and computers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Problem Solve and remain calm under pressure
- Maintain good relationships with staff and volunteers
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take apart machine, equipment devices to remove an replace defective parts
- Eye for detail
 
 
Lifeguards (part time)

Lifeguards are responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. Lifeguards enforce Aquatic Center policies and provide excellent customer service while working in a team environment. Must be at least 15 years old and be willing to get required certifications offered at the Cedar River Complex.
