Construction Loan Program (CLP)

The Construction Loan Program (CLP) is intended to be incentive financing which will assist businesses, individuals, or organizations with building projects located in Mitchell County. The main goal is to provide funds to improve the economic base and the appearance of Mitchell County.

FEMC Grant: up to $10,000

Foundation for Enhancement of Mitchell County: The FEMC looks for projects that address community issues; build on community strengths; leadership; involve the people served in the planning and implementation of the program; provide a plan for sustainability beyond the funding period; and capital projects that impact a significant number of county residents. New this year is an option to use a one page application form for grant requests of $2,500 or less.

Derelict / In-Fill Housing Incentive

This program assists the landowner with tearing down a derelict house with the agreement a new house will be put back in it's place within 2 years.
